Security

We want you to have a safe and secure shopping experience online. All payments via our sites are processed using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol, whereby sensitive information is encrypted to protect your privacy.

How your payments are handled: back to top

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then our 3rd party online e-commerce partner stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

Our direct payment gateway provider, (Payment Express | DPS) adheres to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers. Payment Express have a dedicated and purpose built development and data centre, specially designed for payments processing.

We use their secure Hosted Payment page solution to process online orders. When they transmit sensitive information (such as a credit card numbers) over the internet, they protect it through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol. Credit card details are stored on their site and encrypted using 168bit 3DES encryption. DPS is also certified AIS compliant.

As no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit or receive through our Website. These activities are therefore conducted at your own risk.

Where is your information stored: back to top

Under the above regime, Payment Express | DPS stores your credit card details securely on our behalf. Our store is hosted on a 3rd party online e-commerce platform (Shopify) that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your personal information is stored through their data storage, databases and their general e-commerce application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall on our behalf.
